First-mover tech solution puts the pedal to the metal

Companies like Cavnue create the future. But their success depends on getting others to buy into their vision.

To enable Cavnue to gain mainstream acceptance of their smart highway technology, we helped shape a go-to-market strategy for winning over state governments (and their citizens).

What we did: Market Conditions Review, Stakeholder Interviews, Product Platform Idea, Message Architecture, Brand Architecture Analysis, Brand Archetype, Product Naming, Customizable Pitch Deck, Video Case Study

A platform idea points the way forward

In the race to appeal to Departments of Transportation (DOTs) looking to build the roadways of the future, product positioning is key. Leveraging Cavnue’s major differentiators, our “predict to protect” platform perfectly distilled their promise: to deliver total roadway awareness so DOTs can act preemptively to improve safety.

Our in-depth message architecture gave Cavnue a complete story to tell, including how their automated solutions would ultimately pave the way for an autonomous driving future.

Building a brand for the long term

As a startup laying the groundwork for future rollouts, Cavnue was also looking for a roadmap for its branding. We delivered:

  • A brand architecture analysis that provided a cohesive strategy to follow
  • A new brand archetype that gave them a north star to define their identity
  • A product naming exploratory that opened up a new range of exciting possibilities for entering markets

New tools to take their vision further

Meeting with state DOTs is when the rubber meets the road, so our customizable pitch deck for Cavnue had to be compelling. A vigilant focus on simplifying complex concepts allowed the company to easily connect with government officials at all levels.

Simplifying also helped us persuade the public of the technology’s value. To support the governor’s promotion of a smart roadway initiative in Michigan, we created an inspiring video that deftly balanced the lofty and concrete – and gave Cavnue a convincing proof point for further market expansion.
