One of the hottest topics in Health Care Reform is the success of Connecticut’s healthcare exchange – Access Health CT – which is leading all states in meeting federal enrollment goals.1 So how is Connecticut doing it? Give a lot of the credit to its unique community-based stores, known as Enrollment Centers.
Not only are these Centers enrolling comparatively high percentages of private health plan-eligible consumers – vital to the sustainability of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) – they’re getting raves for providing an Apple Store-like experience: simple, friendly, efficient and helpful.2
Access Health CT’s Enrollment Centers are also noteworthy for several other reasons:
- Conversion rates of in-person channels are exceeding all other enrollment paths.
- Attracted an on-site broker sales force that handled the vast majority of enrollments.
- They have been the model for Enrollment Fairs–which Access Health CT will have hosted nearly 100 of by the end of open enrollment on 3/31.
